More Beer
In view of my recent Music as Beer metaphor, I thought I should mention that at least beer commercials have been the source of some classic jingles. Remember "Schaefer is the one beer to have when you're having more than one", which, despite encouraging over imbibing, is a good tune.
I'm also fond of "When you say Bud" (the commercial, not the beer).

In the 1960's there was a great Shaeffer beer commercial with the famous jingle. The scene: Schaeffer truck drivers are getting ready to go out and deliver the beer. A couple of older guys tell a young one that all new drivers have to sing the jingle on their first day of work. They have the young make stand on a crate to sing. He takes off his hat and in a beautiful tenor voice sings the jingle. The other drivers all gather round, and by the end they are teary-eyed and choking up. The young man says "how'd I do". And one of the older men, wiping away a tear, croaks out: "That was great kid."
