Quick Update
I have been AWOL since my move and I apologize. I've been longer without home Internet than I expected and things have been too busy at work for me to participate from there.
Let me just say however, that it has been a fun if nerve-racking ride. We moved from New Jersey to Florida via the AutoTrain (which is the way to go off-season). If you've seen the Sex and the City episode where Carrie and Samantha go to San Francisco, it was a different experience. True, the accomodations were quite small and there weren't any hot men in the bar car (or so my wife tells me), but the food was quite good and in general it was a good experience.
We're still not settled yet, but I promise to return to opera shortly, especially given that it is my new job.
Just one quick thought: there is a very nice review of the new Domingo/Stemme/Pappano Tristan in The Gramophone and what they've given us on the cover CD (a chunk of the love duet) sounds great. I can't wait!
